Itä-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue seeks a supervisor for the Mäntyrinteen service unit in Askola, in a permanent civil service position starting 7 September 2026 or by agreement. The unit consists of the housing unit with three modules and the day activity unit in Askola, located within walking distance from each other. The housing unit houses 17 residents and the day activity unit currently serves 16 clients. The clients are adults with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum needs. The unit operates as a single entity with close cooperation to provide holistic and individualized services, supporting participation and autonomy. The unit operates in Finnish. Twenty-two staff work in the housing unit and eight in the day activity unit. Your duties as supervisor are to lead the unit’s operations, plan and develop activities in line with the organisation’s values and strategy. You are responsible for the unit’s finances, staff development, division of work, and collaboration. Your immediate supervisor is the head of services for disability services. In addition, you have a special tutor at the unit who supports the unit’s operations together with you. You will be part of a skilled team of managers that supports your work and meets regularly under the leadership of the head of services. You will also receive support from supervision and training. Workdays are varied, and as supervisor you are prepared to face a variety of challenges and make quick decisions when needed. The unit has capable and professional staff. We offer occupational health services via Mehiläinen and flexible working hours with the possibility of remote work as agreed. The work is versatile and the unit is continually developed in working groups. The qualification required is in accordance with the Social Welfare Professionals Act (817/2015) section 8, i.e. a suitable AMK (polytechnic) degree in social and health care or a similar earlier level of education, and registration in the register of social and health care professionals. Proficiency in both languages is required, with strong written Finnish and satisfactory Swedish. We also expect broad experience as a supervisor and extensive knowledge of disability services and autism spectrum. The role values strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills, and an inspiring attitude. Terms follow the Social Welfare and Health Care Sector Collective Agreement (SH-Agreement). A six-month trial period applies. The weekly working time is 38 hours 15 minutes. The position pays 4035.65 EUR per month. Vaccination protection required by infectious diseases act and tuberculosis screening under the infectious diseases act. Selection is conditional until the chosen candidate provides a health assessment from occupational health, and a criminal background check must be shown before taking up duties.
