An HVAC Engineer is sought for the building design and construction service unit of the construction service area, working in versatile and responsible tasks with building projects and extensive procurements. Our team consists of engineers from several different fields. Cooperation is important to us, and we meet regularly at the office to strengthen team spirit. The duties of the HVAC Engineer include expert tasks for the basic technical systems of buildings. The goal is to ensure the optimal functionality, energy efficiency, and healthy and safe indoor conditions of the acquired systems during the property's life cycle. The HVAC Engineer participates in the design and construction of building projects as a technical expert and guides building services design and solutions. The duties include developing the city's building services procurement and design guidelines in cooperation with other experts. The HVAC Engineer is involved in the PTS design of buildings and in the development and implementation of energy efficiency. Close cooperation is maintained with different design fields, contractors, and users. The position requires an independent and systematic way of working, cooperation skills, and a desire to develop expertise in the changing operating environment of the field. The eligibility requirement is a suitable university degree in building services engineering or a similar previous degree and experience in similar tasks. Good written and oral skills in Finnish are required. The position requires the possibility of using one's own car. Remuneration is determined according to the official and collective agreement TS for technical staff in the municipal sector. The position-specific salary is 3843.75 euros/month. According to the collective agreement, the professional supplement is 0-8%, depending on the selected person's work experience. A six (6) month probationary period applies. Application period extended until 26.8.2026. Recruitment discussions start in week 36. Interview days are Wednesday 2.9. and Thursday 3.9. Original study and work certificates will be checked.
