As a Finnish family-owned company, we also pay our taxes in Finland. What will you do? You will lead the daily work of our application development team and external development partners. As a manager, you know your team, support its development and ensure shared goals become working solutions. As an experienced software developer, you are comfortable with GitHub, source code, code reviews and different programming languages. You will get to know the existing architecture, based on a modern AWS cloud environment that makes extensive use of AWS services, container-based solutions and technologies such as TypeScript, Node.js, React and GraphQL. In this role: • You lead and inspire people, set a clear direction, encourage them, support day-to-day work and help your team succeed. • You move things forward by solving problems, making decisions and advancing development with your team. • You lead external partners and ensure they work towards shared goals and deliver results through collaboration. • You are responsible for the technical direction: the application development technology and architecture vision, technology choices and their implementation, in cooperation with the digital director, business units, IT organisation and architects. • You ensure quality and security by making sure services are information-secure, protect privacy, comply with regulations and are easy to maintain. • You support decision-making by bringing your technical expertise to management and helping make sustainable technology choices. What does it take to succeed as our Tech Lead? Technical strength matters, but so does how you lead people and work with others. Do you recognise yourself in these points? • You have experience as a technology director, development director, Tech Lead or lead architect, and a track record in people management. • You enjoy leading people and can listen, encourage, provide direction and address difficult conversations. • You take responsibility and see things through. When a problem arises, you start looking for a solution. • You can lead external partners and build effective collaboration. • You understand application architecture and technology choices, and know how to build secure, scalable solutions. • You stay involved in technical work and can advise your team on practical questions. • You understand information security and data-protection requirements and can make technology understandable to others. Experience in healthcare or another regulated industry, applying MDR or similar product regulation to software, integrating patient information systems, or bringing AI into professionals’ work is an advantage. “We’ll get it done” — even when the answer does not come on the first try We value people who dare to take action, experiment and make decisions. The position is permanent and full-time. The work area is the Helsinki metropolitan region, but work is mainly carried out in Kamppi, Helsinki, next to our largest medical centre.
