This vacancy is for a child-focused social work professional in the early education sector. The successful candidate will be part of an multidisciplinary team, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities, and for supporting families in cooperation with guardians and other child and family actors. The role includes promoting communal spirit and participation and developing services and new practices to enhance child and family well-being and sense of belonging. The employee contributes to child welfare and provides guidance to children, families and guardians. The position is at YES Daycare, a bilingual (English and Finnish) daycare in Hagelstamintie, Pakka, Vantaa. The unit has 8 groups, 2 of which are preschools; the social worker’s duties focus on the 3–5-year-old group this season. We seek flexible, positive team players who listen to children with sensitivity and support them as individuals and as part of the group. We emphasise child growth, development and learning as a positive path that you will walk with the child, parents and the whole team. We work within a culture of development under ProVaka program for supporting children's social skills. The employment is permanent under KVTES collective agreement. The wage is 3113–3218 €/month, with 3–8% seniority bonus depending on experience. A valid criminal background check is required.
