Substitute positions in early childhood education and basic education

Would you like to do education or teaching work flexibly according to your own schedule? We offer short-term substitutes in Järvenpää City’s kindergartens and schools for early childhood education teachers, early childhood education assistants, special assistants/assistants, school guidance counselors, afternoon activity coordinators, class teachers, subject teachers. Employment relationship and pay We follow the collective agreements for early childhood education and school guidance counselors’ substitutes (KVTES) and for teacher substitutes (OVTES). We pay substitutes based on hours worked. What we expect from you? - At least 18 years old - Proficiency in Finnish - Initiative - Courage - Ability to manage groups - Ability to adapt to different work communities and situations - Willingness to learn new things. We view positively a background in the field, prior experience with children and/or youth, and the possibility to do casual shifts regularly. Please inform us of long absences as we will remove substitutes who do not work on a regular basis. Note that we offer substitutes on weekdays between 7:00 and 17:00 and occasionally at other times. How to apply: Apply when you’re available for casual work as we process applications weekly. Application and answering our questions. Obtain a police background check before starting work. A tuberculosis survey is conducted for early childhood substitutes. We will invite applicants to video interviews based on the application. Responses to the video interview questions are due within one month from the invitation. Some applicants will be called for a phone interview. Based on video/phone interview results we will select some applicants for orientation. After completing orientation and submitting all requested documents, you may begin substituting. Note that applications are removed within a month if the applicant does not respond to the video interview, complete orientation on time, or submit required documents, or if we cannot reach the applicant.
