We are looking for a Strategy & Transformation Lead to drive some of VR's most important cross-functional transformation initiatives and help shape the future direction of our businesses across the Nordics. You will join our Strategy & PMO team in Helsinki or Stockholm and work closely with the CEO, VR Leadership Team, and business unit management teams on the company's most critical strategic priorities. You have a strong track record of driving improvements and delivering change in complex stakeholder environments. You enjoy challenging conventional thinking and bringing together diverse perspectives to identify the best solutions. You are skilled at engaging stakeholders at all levels, building confidence, and turning insights into tangible results. Main responsibilities include: Lead company-wide transformation programs from opportunity identification through implementation, ensuring tangible business impact and value realization Act as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to senior business leaders on strategy development and transformation Identify, evaluate, and prioritize strategic improvement opportunities across businesses and functions Lead strategic development initiatives, for example in operational efficiency, commercial excellence, and digitalization Develop and continuously improve transformation governance, project management methodologies, and execution capabilities across the organization Facilitate and lead key elements of VR's strategy processes and, where relevant, take responsibility for the strategy and transformation agenda of a designated business unit or major function, including participation in its management team You have 5+ years of work experience from management consulting or demanding in-house business development, strategy, or transformation role Proven track record of concretely identifying new strategic improvement opportunities and turning them into actionable and measurable plans Ability to challenge the status quo Excellent communication skills at all organization levels Proven track record of establishing and implementing structured new ways of working Master's degree in Technology, Economics, Business, or a related field Reasons to choose us Your work will impact the daily lives and travel of hundreds of thousands of people and the transportation of thousands of tons of cargo We reduce the carbon footprint of society through our actions Join a team of 8,800 dedicated professionals A wide variety of training and learning opportunities as well as different career paths A competitive monthly salary We offer work time flexibility for different life situations and a remote working opportunity.
