The HUS Diagnostics Centre unit of Clinical Physiology and Isotope Medicine (KFI) is Finland’s largest KFI unit, employing around 170 KFI professionals. HUS Diagnostics Centre is Finland’s leading provider of clinical laboratory and imaging services. Our primary operations are in the HUS group’s specialized care and health areas within the welfare regions. We also handle laboratory and imaging operations for the Kymenlaakso welfare region and the South Karelia welfare region. We operate in eight medical specialties and nationally contribute to several advanced studies as well as to research and teaching for the university hospital. Diagnostic investigations play a central role in confirming illnesses, excluding diseases, as part of treatment and monitoring and screening. The Diagnostics Centre employs about 3,400 laboratory and imaging professionals across more than 150 locations. We are seeking a Chief Physician for the Clinical Physiology and Isotope Medicine division, responsible for developing the Clinical Physiology unit at Hyvinkää Hospital, and for management and leadership tasks as well as customer and network collaboration. A central duty is participation in clinical work and its development, and other agreed and applicable responsibilities for the unit’s research and operations. The job requires strong clinical KFI expertise and good cooperation and negotiation skills. Suitable subspecialty for the position is Clinical Physiology and Isotope Medicine. Experience in leadership, development and research activities, and teaching is considered an advantage. The successful candidate must provide a medical certificate of health, including a declaration from a radiation safety physician assessing suitability for radiation work and radiation class A (Säteilylaki). The salary will follow the doctors’ career path model and depend on whether administrative and supervisory duties are attached. The appointment will start on 1 Oct 2026 or by agreement. Qualifications: Specialist physician in a suitable specialty and experience in administrative/leadership duties and licensed to practice medicine. Language requirements: good Finnish (spoken and written) and acceptable Swedish (spoken and written) or good Swedish (spoken and written) and acceptable Finnish (spoken and written). We require vaccination protection against communicable diseases as per the Infectious Diseases Act for those working with patients, and health status check for tuberculosis in healthcare units.
