The position is for a permanent placement in the Ylästö day care center (Ylästön päiväkoti) in Vantaa within the Education and Learning department. As an early childhood social worker you will be part of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating pedagogical activities together with other professionals. You will share responsibility for family collaboration and focus on community, inclusion and children’s well-being, guiding families and guardians as part of everyday practice. The unit emphasizes inclusive leadership and a supportive atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on participation and well-being of children and families. The team consists of 17 early childhood professionals plus support staff, and operations are overseen by a co-leadership model where governance is shared between a day care director for personnel and one for pedagogy. The role includes developing services and new approaches to enhance child and family well-being. Work takes place in a 2–4 year olds group together with an early childhood teacher and a childminder. The position is 38 h 15 min per week, full-time with a 6-month probationary period. Salary: 3113–3218 EUR per month, with 3–8% experience-based allowance.
