About the role

Scribe is where exceptional people come to do the best work of their careers. Based in San Francisco, we’re growing fast and backed by leading investors. We’re hiring a Sales Compensation Analyst to own the monthly close, quarterly commission calculations, plan design modeling, and attainment reporting across every plan. You’ll report to the Director of GTM Operations and take over the existing calculation pipeline within 90 days, ahead of the FY27 plan design cycle. The role is hybrid, based in SF with a 3-day-per-week office presence.

Responsibilities

  • Run quarterly commission calculations across all plans.
  • Own the monthly close process and validate accounting summaries.
  • Lead clawback and addback reviews with Accounting.
  • Scale calculation automation to minimize manual rework.
  • Collaborate on plan design with Finance and CRO.
  • Resolve escalations with reps and manage attainment reporting.

Requirements

  • You've run a recurring, deadline-driven financial or comp process.
  • You build and maintain calculation models yourself.
  • You can sit across from a rep who disagrees with their commission number.
  • You've owned plan mechanics like accelerators, multipliers, and SPIFFs.
  • You catch the exception nobody flagged, and you don't let ambiguity turn into an error.
