Early Childhood Education Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic, positive and sensitive early childhood education professional for a temporary contract in the 3–5 year old group at Aurinkokiven Daycare in Vantaa. The role involves taking responsibility for the group’s learning environment and culture, planning, implementing, developing and evaluating pedagogical activities in accordance with the Vantaa early childhood education and pre-school plan and the unit’s action plan, together with other staff. We value good teamwork and interaction skills and the ability to notice each child’s individual needs. You will work in a multi-professional setting, collaborating with colleagues to support children’s development. We emphasize social skills, children’s participation, warm encounters with children and parents, and constructive everyday interactions. The unit uses the ProVaka model to support children’s social skills, and you commit to acting according to its principles with the rest of the staff. There are clear leadership structures and opportunities to participate in unit leadership discussions. An inclusive special education teacher supports you in child support issues. Aurinkokiven Daycare is located in Kivistö with good transport connections; five groups operate here plus a community space and a club. The facility has versatile spaces and rich nearby outdoor opportunities. Aurinkokiven is part of the Aurinkokiven service center, which also houses a primary school, student welfare services, maternity and child health services, music and art schools.
