WORK AS A PERSONAL ASSISTANT: We are now looking for new personal assistants for our clients for flexible support work. The work is paid according to the private social services sector's collective agreement and is suitable for those seeking full-time, part-time, occasional, or gig work. As a personal assistant you decide how much and when you work, so the job fits also alongside another job or studies. You do not need special education for the work, the right attitude and reliability are most important. At Aarre Avustajat you will receive continuous support and guidance from your own supervisor, and you will never be left alone with your tasks or questions. What is a personal assistant and what does an assistant do? Personal assistance is a service where the personal assistant acts as the hands and feet of the client, performing tasks the client would do themselves if they could, and the purpose is to help with everyday tasks at home and outside the home. Tasks involve ordinary daily chores. The job does not include tasks requiring a separate qualification such as a nursing degree; anyone can work as an assistant. Tasks include helping the client with shopping, walking, meals, cooking, dressing, hobbies, and home care. What kind of person suits the role? We have found as an employer that the best fits are people with the right attitude toward assisting others. The assistant should be reliable, positive, helpful, diligent, and people-oriented. No prior experience is required, as everyone receives thorough onboarding in Aarre Avustajat’s own training center before starting. Experience or education in care can be beneficial for some clients. What shifts are offered and can I influence them? Personal assistance occurs on weekdays and weekends, with shifts often available from morning to evening. You can influence how much and when you work, and for which client. We aim to match client needs with assistant preferences so that it works for everyone. You will have the chance to meet a potential new client before starting the relationship, and if something doesn’t work as you expected, we can look for a suitable option together.
