Career coach / Project Manager

Limingan municipality seeks a career coach / project manager for a fixed term position as part of Liminka’s employment services. The role is part of the ESR+-funded Työelämä nyt! project, which aims to strengthen job seekers' work-life readiness, build smooth education and career paths, and develop cooperation between employers, educational institutions and employment services. The position is located in Liminka and runs from 2 January 2027 to 31 August 2029. The job involves strong client and network work. You will support job seekers in planning their education, competencies and career paths and help identify opportunities that promote employment. You will build trusting client relationships and search for solutions toward training, apprenticeships or work life. At the same time you will actively collaborate with local companies, discuss employers’ labour and skill needs, seek new cooperation opportunities and build effective channels between job seekers and employers. You will also develop cooperation with educational institutions and strengthen transitions between education and working life. In your work you organize and execute training sessions, workshops and network events and participate in developing, piloting and embedding new operating models into local services. You will also be responsible for project administration tasks related to the Liminka sub-project, such as reporting, monitoring and communications. We are looking for a person who enjoys meeting people, building partnerships and developing services. In this role you can influence concretely that job seekers gain new opportunities for education and working life and that companies find skilled workforce. Eligibility criteria include an appropriate higher education degree and strong experience in client guidance. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate with employers, educational institutions and other stakeholders, flexibility to work with individuals and networks, interest in employment and education development, proactiveness and good organizational and cooperation skills, and fluent Finnish written and spoken skills. Experience in employment, education, youth or welfare services, project work and administration, and use of digital tools and AI solutions are valued. The position is part of Liminka’s employment services, within the municipal vitality services and the Oulu employment area. You will work with a capable team and broad networks of municipalities, educational institutions, employers and other actors in employment services, and you will join the Työelämä nyt! project team. The main worksite is at Lakeustalo, Liminka. The job includes client meetings, employer and educational cooperation and travel within the operating area. Some remote work is possible in line with Liminka municipality’s remote-working practices, on average two days per week, depending on the tasks. Salary and terms are determined by the Municipal Collective Agreement (KVTES). The task-specific salary is 3511.70 €/month plus potential KVTES-based experience allowance.
