Social counsellor

Open social work positions belong to Adults 2-team, with service area covering Espoo, Karkkila, Kauniainen, Lohja and Vihti. As a social counsellor your duties include supporting clients’ independent functioning and life management through social counselling, assessing need for services and creating client plans, and deciding on supplementary and preventive income support. The work is done independently, in pairs and within various networks. We support clients with a planned and goal-oriented approach. The adult social services work is interesting, versatile and independent, and you will have the opportunity to develop it together with colleagues. The adult social work field provides a vantage point to social work and offers challenges and opportunities to learn new things. Your team includes social workers, social counsellors and a leading social worker, from whom you receive support and onboarding. We offer opportunities for professional development, participation in trainings and supervision. You can influence your workdays; flexible working hours from 7 to 18 and partial remote work are available. We value experience in adult social work, knowledge of the service system and legislation, Swedish language skills and the ability to use your own car (travel across the whole area is required).
