Role overview: We are seeking a motivated, customer-oriented counsellor for a fixed-term position at 60% of full-time hours from 27 August 2026 or as soon as possible until 31 December 2026. Primary workplace is Taalintehdas; the work may also involve other units of rehabilitative work activities in the region. As a counsellor you will guide clients, monitor the progress of the work activities and assess and support clients’ functional capacity on their path to employment. You will plan and develop the contents of rehabilitative work activities and document client work in the Lifecare client information system. Clients are unemployed individuals participating in rehabilitative work activities with goals to strengthen life management, work capability, social participation, and to promote transitions to education or work. The work is at Masuunintie 5, Taalintehdas. In the comfortable premises you work with your partner, and in the same premises also a social counsellor and an office secretary operate. What we expect from you: - Strong guidance skills - Knowledge of and experience with assessing work- and functional capacity and its documentation - Experience working with long-term unemployed - Diverse guidance skills, flexibility, adaptability to change and ability to plan and implement rehabilitative activities - Sufficient IT skills, including proficiency with Office tools and the ability to adopt new software - Knowledge of the service network - Ability to work independently and good teamwork As Varha employees you work in line with our values: you treat clients and colleagues equally and respectfully, work responsibly and effectively, and present your expertise kindly and professionally. Travel between Varha sites may be required, therefore a driving licence is necessary; owning a car is considered an advantage. The job requires proficiency in both national languages.
