We are looking for an Administration and Communications Coordinator for a fixed-term substitute position at Kulosaari English School (KSYK), starting from the beginning of September 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The substitution continues until March 2028. You will work with diverse and meaningful tasks in a community-oriented, international, and development-friendly school environment. **What will you do?** In this role, your workdays will be varied, and you will divide your time between diverse administrative tasks and communications. Communications and Marketing: - Produce, coordinate, and publish content for the website and social media, conveying the unique spirit of "Kuliksen," daily school life, and current affairs. - Capture daily life and various events using a system camera and phone, and edit materials into a publishable format (images and videos). - Maintain and update the school's website and create marketing materials as needed. - Produce an electronic alumni newsletter published twice a year. - Compile and layout the school year's annual report. - Handle routine and recurring communication tasks carefully and on time. Administration and Facilitating School Daily Life: - Deliver the internal weekly bulletin and keep the school calendars up to date. - Be responsible for various administrative routines, such as insurance notifications for students and staff, and product orders. - Participate in developing the school's archiving. **What do we hope for from you?** You are the person we are looking for if you have the ability to take initiative and enjoy keeping things under control even in changing situations. - Visual eye and communication skills: You can produce fluent text in Finnish and English and have the courage to try new things on social media. You have basic skills in photography and producing visual content. - Good IT skills: In addition to the Google environment and Office programs, you will use, for example, Wordpress, Canva, Primus, Wilma, and Adobe software (InDesign, Premiere Pro, Photoshop). Are various social media platforms already familiar to you? - Self-direction and organizational skills: You can prioritize your tasks and handle administrative routines accurately and responsibly. - Good interaction skills: You collaborate smoothly with various parties and stakeholders of the school. We value a desire to learn, creativity, and a positive attitude. Our school is bilingual, so we expect fluent Finnish and English language skills, both written and spoken. You have a degree suitable for the position. The person selected for the substitution must provide a criminal record extract as required by the Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children (504/2002). A 6-month probationary period is set for the position. Kulosaari English School is a private educational institution covering comprehensive school grades 7–9 and upper secondary school. There are approximately 600 students in comprehensive school and 570 in upper secondary school, with approximately 115 staff members. The school specializes in bilingual education in Finnish and English. We also emphasize social sciences and natural sciences. Internationalism, community, and goal-oriented studying are important to us.
