Cold Storage Warehouse Worker

We are looking for a warehouse worker with a good attitude and initiative for a cold storage facility at the Helsinki Kalasatama wholesale market! Job description We are looking for a warehouse worker for our customer at the Helsinki Kalasatama wholesale market. Your duties include taking care of the daily operations of the cold storage facility, such as picking and moving products with a counterbalance forklift and storing goods. During the workday, you will collect outgoing products according to advance orders, transport them to the production area and move goods back to the cold store. You will also flexibly take care of additional pickups and goods transfers between the cold storage facility, production and dispatch as needed. The work is physical and involves moving between the cold storage facility and other production premises. You will work mainly independently, so a brisk, responsible and proactive approach is most important. We hope to find someone who wants to take ownership of the cold store and ensure that things run smoothly day after day. Although the work is independent, you will also interact with other staff every day, so a good sense of humour and a sociable attitude will help you enjoy the job. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00–15:00. You will receive comprehensive onboarding under the guidance of an experienced employee, and support will also be available after the onboarding period. Previous warehouse experience is an advantage but not essential, as the work can be learned with the right attitude. The employment is permanent and totals 40 hours per week. The employment contract will be made with Visio Henkilöstöratkaisut Logistiikka Oy, although the work itself takes place at our customer's premises in Helsinki. Work starts as soon as a suitable person is found. If you have the following, you may be the person we are looking for. We hope you have: - An initiative-taking and responsible approach to work; we are looking for someone who gets started and flexibly keeps their own work area running smoothly. - 1–2 years of work experience. - Finnish language skills; Finnish is the working language used by supervisors. - Good physical fitness and readiness to work in cold-storage conditions. - Previous experience in warehouse, production or other physical work. Cold-storage experience is an advantage but not essential. - Basic IT skills. - Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift is an advantage. - A positive, sociable attitude and a sense of humour; working with a relaxed team is more enjoyable. - A hygiene passport is an advantage, but it is not essential at the beginning of employment.
