Would you like to help build smooth and impactful municipal finances? In this role you will work at the heart of city’s financial steering and development alongside the Chief Financial Officer. The position is new, giving you a chance to shape the role within the finance services team. As a Controller you will function as a financial administration expert and be responsible for planning, monitoring and forecasting for the entire city’s finances. Responsibilities include coordinating the preparation of the budget and financial plan, monitoring city finances, monthly reporting, forecasting and analysis, and supporting various departments together with financial planners. You will provide guidance on internal costing and financial planning, support the finance services team and department leadership, and take on process ownership in designated financial processes. You will also contribute to developing financial processes and act as an active expert in the organization. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer.
