Substitute recruitment for early childhood education

Substitute positions for early childhood education teachers, nursery teachers, and special education assistants can range from a single day to longer temporary assignments. You may be a graduate in the field or a student nearing completion of early childhood education studies. We require at least 18 years of age and sufficient Finnish language skills for the role. This is not applicable for summer jobs. Before substitutions and work shifts are offered, you will need to arrange an interview time with the head of early childhood services after submitting your application. The interview will provide further information in the applicant thank-you message. Anyone working with children under 18 must provide a policebackground extract in accordance with the Criminal Records Act 6.2 § before starting employment. If the degree is earned abroad, an official Finnish translation of the degree certificate must be attached to the application. Applicants are responsible for keeping their application and availability up to date. Maintaining current contact and availability information is a prerequisite for being offered substitutions.
