About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on production leader who keeps the production moving. Tornion KaMa-Palvelut Oy is growing and we are looking for a production supervisor / production coordinator to strengthen the overall management of production. In this role you will not only follow what happens in production but also participate in planning, organising, and developing how work is done with quality, efficiency and on schedule. The role combines people management, production coordination and practical problem solving. You will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of production as part of the production leadership team, including planning and organising production tasks, allocating tasks and resources, tracking schedules and progress, understanding workload and overall production, guiding and supporting workers, solving production problems, monitoring quality, efficiency and deadlines, coordinating materials and production prerequisites, and collaborating with customers, suppliers and other parts of the organisation while maintaining safe work practices and agreed procedures. You will be expected to see the production as a whole, not only individual tasks, and to plan what comes next, what can be prepared in advance, where more resources are needed and what may slow progress. We value practical understanding of industrial production and readiness to take responsibility for the whole. The ability to understand production stages sufficiently to plan, prioritise and lead overall production is essential. Our work includes machine shop production, welding and maintenance, so a technical background is valued. You do not need to know everything, but you should understand enough of the different work phases to contribute to planning and leadership. This role offers influence: you will participate in shaping how production is planned, led and developed in the future. You will have responsibility and the chance to build your own role based on your skills. If you are practical, responsible and good with people, you might be the right person for us. In your application, briefly describe: what experience you have in industrial production; what production or supervisory roles you have held; your style as a supervisor and colleague; what motivates you to develop production. The salary is aligned with the technology industry professional staff level and depends on the role’s demands and your competence.
