Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are looking for heavy equipment technicians to join Terrafame in Sotkamo to reinforce the moving equipment maintenance team. Most positions are permanent, with a fixed-term contract from now until 9 November 2026. The work schedule includes day shifts and shift work. Shifts consist of either 10-hour shifts with four 10-hour workdays followed by four days off, or 12-hour shifts with two 12-hour morning shifts, two 12-hour night shifts and six days off. A daytime shift runs Monday to Friday. Tasks include scheduled maintenance, component changes and installations, hunting and repairing electrical and hydraulic faults, and repair welding. The work is varied, as maintenance targets heavy loading machines and stone trucks, as well as other machines and vans. You should have a suitable automotive qualification – preferably in heavy equipment – and 3–5 years of relevant experience. You are proactive and have a safe and responsible approach to work.
