Early Childhood Education Teacher

A permanent position for an early childhood education teacher at Tiedonjyvä Daycare, located in Vantaa. The daycare opened in Jokiniemi Learning Campus in 2021 and is close to Jokiniemen railway stations with good transport connections. The role is part of a team of three pedagogues and focuses on sensitive interaction with children and families, creating a warm, playful and safe operating culture, and supporting diverse, age-appropriate activities. We value a calm, present approach and positive pedagogy, with participation in ProVaka and a collaborative, multi-professional work environment. You will work in the day care’s home base with one group of children, in a space designed for acoustics, differentiated activities and age-diverse interaction. You will be expected to engage with the children and families respectfully and constructively, and to contribute to building a warm and inclusive atmosphere. Requirements include the municipality’s teaching qualification for early childhood education and the standard terms under the Municipal Education Personnel collective agreement (OVTES). The position includes a six-month probationary period; full-time work, 38 hours 15 minutes per week with shifts mainly 7:30–16:30. Salary is 3129.71–3234 EUR per month, with monthly allowances of 15 EUR for those meeting specific qualifications and 37.88 EUR for a Master’s degree in education; experience-based allowances of 3–8% may apply.
