Special Education Teacher

Lahti City is recruiting for a Special Education Teacher for a comprehensive 1–9 grade school. The school serves about 600 students annually with around 40 teachers and 20 counselors. In addition to general education, the school runs regional special support groups, art-focused instruction, and preparatory teaching for immigrants. Collaboration and co-teaching are valued and developed as core principles. Modern facilities enable contemporary teaching methods, and a new multipurpose field invites physical activity; nearby forests encourage outdoor learning. The school has earned the eTwinning label for annual participation in international projects connecting students and teachers from different countries. Eligibility requires a Special Education Teacher qualification as defined by the decree no 986/98; if qualified applicants are not available, the position may be filled by an applicant without qualification.
