JobCrawls Data Desk
24% of jobs in Finland are in Helsinki. How the biggest cities compare.
Updated 2 October 2026 · Updated monthly from live job data

On 2 October 2026, 3,291 of Finland's 13,948 active job listings were in Helsinki, 24% of the whole market. Pay is highest in Helsinki, with a median of €2,912 a month. Helsinki and Espoo have the largest share of jobs open to English speakers without Finnish (up to 21%), and remote or hybrid work is most common in Jyväskylä, Espoo and Helsinki (up to 25%).
We counted active job listings in the JobCrawls database for each city, deduplicated so a posting cross-listed on several job boards counts once; a job listed in several cities counts in each. Median pay is the median of the stated minimum per month, from on-site and hybrid listings that state pay, and only cities with at least 30 such listings are shown. Work from home means remote or hybrid; English only means the posting requires English but not Finnish.
Cities that land within 3 percentage points of the leader (3% for pay) are named as joint leaders, because a gap that small is within normal month-to-month movement. Pay is the advertised minimum, before tax, and doesn't account for living costs, which vary a lot between cities. For pay after tax and rent, see our comparison of what a typical job leaves you with in each city.
