JobCrawls Data Desk
Only 9% of jobs in Finland are open to interns or juniors
Updated 2 October 2026 · Updated monthly from live job data

On 2 October 2026, 692 active job listings located in Finland were junior roles and 579 internships: 1,271 starter jobs, 9% of the market. That's fewer than the 1,503 senior and expert roles alone, and far fewer than the 10,205 mid-level jobs that make up the bulk of the market. Above them are 773 manager roles and 246 executive and director roles.
We counted every active job listing located in Finland in the JobCrawls database on 2 October 2026 (13,948 listings). A posting cross-listed on several job boards counts once. Seniority is JobCrawls' own classification of the level each posting describes, based on its title and requirements. A few thin levels are merged (executive with director, senior with expert), and the tiers are drawn in career order rather than by size, so the shape of the ladder shows.
This is a snapshot, not a trend: it shows how today's openings are spread across career stages, not whether entry-level hiring is growing or shrinking. "Mid-level" is a broad tier that includes many roles open to people with a couple of years' experience, so the real gap for someone starting out depends on the field. Summer jobs and traineeship programmes cluster in spring, which this October snapshot won't show.
