JobCrawls Data Desk
42% of retail jobs in Finland are part-time
Updated 2 October 2026 · Updated monthly from live job data

On 2 October 2026, 1,651 of the active job listings located in Finland (12%) were part-time, and they are concentrated in the fields that pay least. In retail, 42% of jobs are part-time, with a median advertised pay of €2,101 a month. Software engineering, the best-paid field here at €4,500, is <1% part-time.
We counted every active job listing located in Finland in the JobCrawls database on 2 October 2026 (13,948 listings). A posting cross-listed on several job boards counts once. Part-time means the posting's own job type is part-time; temporary, contract and summer jobs are counted separately and not included. Median pay is the stated minimum per month from on-site and hybrid listings that state pay. Fields need at least 100 listings and 20 with pay to be shown; the catch-all "Other" field is left out.
The monthly medians include part-time ads in each field, so the pay gap between fields is partly a gap in hours. Some part-time ads also mention that more hours may be available. Even so, the pattern is clear: if you need a full-time job, it's much easier to find one in the better-paid fields.
