Generalist Special Education Teacher: We are seeking a generalist special education teacher for our team from August 11, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The position is temporary due to a substitute role. As a generalist special education teacher, you will be responsible for special education at grades 1 and 2. You will work closely with teachers and student welfare services. Your role is a key part of the support structures for learning. We value strong pedagogical skills, the ability to see the student's support needs holistically, and good communication and collaboration skills. Success in this role requires an independent work approach, but also a willingness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. We observe a six (6) month probation period. Special Class Teacher: We are seeking a special class teacher for our team from September 1, 2026, to June 5, 2027. The position is temporary due to a substitute role. As a special class teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students with special support needs and providing pedagogical support. The class includes elementary school students. The role involves planning, implementing, and assessing individual learning pathways, as well as close cooperation with guardians, student welfare, and other staff. The work requires flexibility, solution-orientedness, and the ability to operate in varying situations. We value experience working with students receiving special support, strong pedagogical skills, and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team. We observe a four (4) month probation period. Salary and terms of employment are determined according to OVTES. The employer, Kemijärvi City, is a smoke-free workplace. Qualifications are based on the decree (1998/986) on the qualifications of education personnel.
