Fourth or fifth-year medical students are welcome to apply for summer jobs at Satakunta Wellbeing Area in 2027! You have the opportunity to tailor your work experience. Please indicate your preferences regarding work location and schedule on the application form. We have received positive feedback from summer employees about our excellent work communities, where everyone has the chance to grow professionally during the summer. Comprehensive orientation and senior support are provided throughout the summer. Training on interesting topics that support your studies is organized for all summer doctors. Additionally, in June, we will host the Satakunta Doctors' Day, which includes lectures and workshops. Since life is not only work, Satakunta offers plenty of activities for leisure, from some of the best surfing opportunities in Finland to a wide cultural scene. Medical students: You can apply as a medical student after completing your fourth year of medical studies. As a medical student, you can work in general medicine departments, social and health care centers, or elderly services across Satakunta. There are also positions available in the demanding support expertise center in Ulvila, in home hospital care, and in specialized care at Satasairaala in Pori. If desired, you can also work on call in Pori at the emergency outpatient clinic or at Satasairaala's emergency department in Pori. You can continue working in emergency services after the summer. Interested? On the application form, you can specify your preferred working time and location, as well as other wishes related to the summer job. Our clients are primarily Finnish-speaking, so we expect our employees to have sufficient Finnish language skills. Salary according to the doctor’s agreement. Interviews will begin during the application period, and positions will be filled as applications are received. Interviews can also be conducted via Teams. For those starting work in summer 2027, we will organize a Teams meeting before the start date. During this meeting, you will receive more information about working with us, accommodation, and other practical matters, and you will have the opportunity to meet your future colleagues. Satakunta Wellbeing Area: Approximately 9,000 social and health care professionals and rescue services staff work in our organization. Student welfare services, including social workers and psychologists, are part of the wellbeing area.
