We are seeking a psychiatric nurse for YTHS Joensuun service point. The position is full-time and permanent starting October 2026. Our aim is to offer university students the same student health care service range regardless of campus. We serve students through local clinics, telehealth, and national digital services. Our client and patient information system is Acute. Our digital service platform is BeeHealth’s YTHSDigi. Our client base is friendly, engaged in their care. Our work impacts students’ future and acts as an essential link in safeguarding study capabilities. The psychiatric nurse works to support primary health care psychiatric care in mental health and substance use issues, and supports students’ mental health, functioning, and study ability. The nurse carries out short treatment periods and, when needed, guides continuation of care according to YTHS processes. The role includes first-line support, neuropsychiatric assessment, guided self-care, and group facilitation. In addition, the job involves working with the digital service platform. We offer the new colleague: thorough orientation, regular training for skill development (including guided self-care according to the “Therapies at the frontline” model), flexible working hours: total 38h 35min/week with annualized hours, partial remote work possibility, well-being benefits such as ePassi perk and wellness events at service points, comprehensive occupational health services. We expect a nursing or public health nurse degree and experience in psychiatric nursing. We also value experience in independent nurse-led practice in mental health and knowledge of psychiatric diagnostic interviews. We consider IPC and/or KLT training as an asset, as well as good command of Finnish and adequate English/Swedish. We require vaccination protection under the communicable diseases act. Salary and terms follow YTHS collective agreement (YTHS TES) and, where not specified there, the Health Services sector collective agreement (TPTES). The job salary consists of base pay according to the required grade and any special allowances. In the full-time (38h35m/week) position (VR4) the salary ranges from 2841 to 3154 euros per month depending on competence and experience.
