We are now mapping a psychologist working with children in Närpiö. The work involves assessments of research needs and investigations (focusing on concentration difficulties and other neuropsychiatric challenges, language difficulties, intellectual challenges, general developmental delays, etc.), including preparing reports and providing feedback. Parent (family) guidance/support discussions. Support discussions related to child's psychological and social challenges. Participation in multidisciplinary consultation teams for planning support measures. Networking (daycare centers, preschools, social services, etc.). Supervision and consultation of staff in child health clinics, early childhood education, and other professionals (e.g., occupational therapists and speech therapists). When necessary, psychologist’s recommendation for extending/accelerating compulsory education, choosing preschool placement (e.g., special school/local school), and support in early childhood education. The work is performed face-to-face, with a workday length of 7 hours 33 minutes, totaling 8 workdays per month. Why work at Terveystalo? What do we expect from you? The qualification requirement is a licensed psychologist degree in Finland and at least three years of full-time experience as a psychologist working with children and adolescents after graduation. Language skills must include good spoken and written Finnish and Swedish. Having a car is recommended, as there may be travel to other units during workdays.
