We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic teacher to join our team, whose task is to act as a special education teacher across different grade levels. Our school operates on a co-teaching model. The supported students generally study inclusively as part of their own grade group. At Rakokivi School, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team and develop your work together with colleagues. Rakokivi School, located in the multi-purpose building Loisto since autumn 2021, is a primary school with approximately 450 students, situated in Rakokivi shopping center with good transportation connections. In the Loisto building, in addition to the school, there is Rakokivi Daycare, Nastola Library, and other users. Besides the excellent facilities of the multi-purpose building, we have excellent sports facilities nearby. Our school has strong expertise in learning support, and our community enjoys working together. We actively share expertise within the building and aim to utilize the strengths of our staff. In addition to qualifications, we value teamwork skills, willingness and ability to develop teaching, and flexibility in learning environments. Good communication skills, flexibility, and suitability to the work community influence the selection. Teaching skills in crafts and arts are considered an advantage. The selection is based on suitability and qualifications. The qualification requirement is to have the qualification of a special education teacher. Qualification requirements are based on the Decree on Qualifications and Competence of Education Personnel (986/98). If there are no qualified applicants, the position can be filled with an applicant without the qualification. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check as required by law 504/2002 before starting the position. A drug test certificate may also be requested.
