We are seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our team in Oulu, Finland. The person will be responsible for the electronic designs for our new products in R&D projects, including selecting key components, designing functionalities, and ensuring hardware meets product requirements. The role involves working in cross-functional project teams with project and product management, mechanical engineers, embedded software developers, sourcing, production test engineers, and compliance engineers. The position may be filled at senior level depending on the candidate’s background and experience. Responsibilities include electronics design in R&D projects, component selections, schematics and layout design, design verification, and technical documentation; ensuring designs meet product requirements and customer expectations; collaborating with project stakeholders; and actively learning new technologies. Requirements include a relevant technical degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.), a minimum of a few years of experience in electronics design in R&D projects, proficiency in schematics and layout design with related tools, experience with design verification processes and measurement techniques, experience with product development processes, strong technical documentation skills, knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and standards (plus), understanding of regulatory requirements such as EMC and ESD standards, good communication and collaboration skills, and a positive attitude.
