The City of Salo's Armfelt School has a vacancy for a special education teacher starting from August 1, 2026. Armfelt School is a comprehensive school located in Halikko, Salo, with approximately 640 students. We are a school for all learners, aiming to build smooth educational pathways for students throughout basic education. Our school offers general education groups as well as various special education groups, from individualized instruction to small groups in connection with a child protection institution. In addition to quality education and upbringing, we emphasize active, multidisciplinary collaboration with different actors. We are seeking a special education teacher for a permanent position starting from August 1, 2026. The teacher will work in a classroom connected to a recently opened child protection unit, in a newly constructed school building. The position requires qualification as a special education teacher. We value good collaboration skills, solution-oriented approach, and a calm and thoughtful attitude towards upbringing. In addition to the base salary, you may receive experience-based supplements according to the collective agreement. We also pay a personal supplement to all employees whose employment has lasted over six months. The position will be filled conditionally until the selected candidate provides an acceptable health certificate and a criminal record extract as required by law (Child Welfare Act 504/2002) within 30 days of the employment decision. The employment relationship includes a six (6) month probation period, provided the terms of the collective agreement are met.
