We are currently hiring a practical nurse for a fixed-term position, a parental leave cover until April 30, 2027. Rinnekodit Niittypelto is a 31-place residential unit for people with intellectual disabilities, located near services in Nummela, surrounded by nature and walking trails. The unit has four profile-based group homes, each with a team leader and staff support. We are looking for a caregiver for the Green home, a 6-place group home for clients on the autism spectrum, requiring strong support, guidance, and physical assistance in daily activities. As a practical nurse, you play a key role in recognizing individual needs and ensuring quality care, respecting the client's autonomy and dignity. Your work includes basic care, medication, and rehabilitative approaches, supporting clients physically in daily activities. We offer good orientation and training to ensure smooth work. You should have a practical nurse qualification, a registration with the Suosikki register, and a social and health care professional card (Kanta security card) or be prepared to obtain one during the trial period. You must be willing to demonstrate medication competence within four months of starting and be able to work in a three-shift system. Basic Finnish language skills are required for documentation and client interaction. You must have vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Infectious Diseases Act. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. The employment begins with a health check. We will check your criminal record as required by law, not older than six months.
