Starting August 2025, we implemented a job-sharing model for two inclusive early childhood education special education teachers. Now there is an opportunity to try out this role through a fixed-term position. Your job-sharing partner will be a passionate and development-oriented special education teacher, and you will work closely with the head of the early childhood education unit, the assistant head, and the language and culture teacher. You will also play a significant role in developing the pedagogical practices of the entire unit, and you will have opportunities to develop your own skills. The work of an inclusive early childhood education special education teacher is diverse and motivating. Together with other staff, you will plan, implement, evaluate, and develop early childhood education pedagogy for children requiring support in the units. The goal is to support children's participation in group activities, foster success experiences, and enable inclusion within the child group. The focus is on children’s individual needs and a safe environment where children can grow and learn according to their skills and strengths. Initially, the role includes responsibilities of an inclusive early childhood education special education teacher in the southern area of Espoo: Kirkkojärvi Daycare, Kirkkojärvi School’s preschool, Kylänaukio Daycare, and Jatulinniitty Family Daycare. You will share and plan these responsibilities with your job-sharing partner. The role in Espoo’s southern area is highly meaningful, offering opportunities to work with children and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
