We are currently looking for a guidance counselor for a permanent position at Rinnekodit Toimintakeskus Selja. Our unit offers daytime activities that promote participation for people with severe developmental and mobility disabilities. The client profile is care-oriented, meaning our clients need extensive help and support in all daily activities. Our clients experience the world best through their senses. We focus on multisensory work approaches and being genuinely present with our clients. Located centrally in Pasila, easily accessible by public transport or bicycle. Our goal is to support our clients' agency and participation in their daily lives, providing high-quality service according to our promise. As a guidance counselor, you play a key role in identifying individual needs and ensuring quality care. You work professionally, respecting the client's right to self-determination and treating them with respect. Your work includes guiding groups, basic care, and possibly medication administration. You also support clients physically in daily activities. We offer good orientation and various training to ensure smooth work. We expect you to have a practical nurse or other social and health care qualification and registration with the Suosikki register, or final stage studies, social and health care professional card (Kanta security card), or readiness to obtain the card during the trial period. You should be able to demonstrate medication competence by obtaining a medication permit within four months of starting employment and regularly during employment. Basic Finnish language skills are required for documentation and client interaction. You should be willing to work with our client group and guide activities. Knowledge of kinesthetics is appreciated. Rinnekodit is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace, with health checks including infectious disease vaccination verification. We will check a criminal record extract, not older than six months, in accordance with legislation before employment.
