Join Hyria! We encourage enthusiasm and success. We are hiring a community instructor for a permanent position in Riihimäki starting August 3, 2026. The community instructor role is part of Campus Community Services and works alongside a campus coordinator. The community instructor is a member of the campus-specific YHR (Community Well-being Group). The community instructor's task is to engage with learners during breaks and at the start and end of the school day. Organizing various events and team-building activities, as well as communicating about them on campus, are part of the daily active work in the community instructor role. The position requires the use of social media channels related to the campus. The community instructor proactively supports students or those getting to know the campus. Negotiation skills support success in the role. You are the person we are looking for if you have at least a secondary level qualification suitable for education or guidance, e.g., a basic qualification in education and guidance or a community pedagogue degree (AMK). The role requires strong and diverse practical work experience and skills in various youth activity environments. We require strong expertise in youth work and in engaging with different learners. Experience working with non-native speakers is an advantage. The work is mainly daytime work, but includes some travel days per year when acting as a support at student sports competitions, and possible Saturday work during campus events. The primary location is Riihimäki. At Hyria, we help our learners towards employment and further studies. We provide skills that enable everyone to change their world and achieve their dreams. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the collective agreement for private education sector administration and support staff. The task-specific salary is €2,262.62/month, based on the complexity level 4, plus experience-based additional pay according to the collective agreement. Before starting work, the selected candidate must present an acceptable health certificate and a criminal record extract related to working with children, according to the Act 504/2002. Our positions include a probationary period. In addition to the primary location, work area includes the Hyria consortium's operational area with its workplaces. Hyria is an educational institution and also a workplace where students are primarily gaining work experience in all administrative and support services.
