Postdoctoral Researcher position within Orion Pharma’s Industrial Postdoctoral Programme, located in Turku, Finland with multiple project streams in pain research. The role focuses on bridging academic research and industrial drug development, contributing to projects aimed at identifying and validating new targets for pain therapies, and applying computational and translational approaches to drug discovery. The successful candidate will lead and execute independent research projects, design and interpret studies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Orion and external academic partners. Key projects include computational discovery of chronic pain targets, prediction of membrane permeability for complex compounds, and translational neuro-inflammation pharmacology in pain programs. Requirements include a PhD in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Oncology, Pain, DMPK & Safety, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Structural Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computational Sciences, Bioinformatics, Drug Discovery) or doctoral candidates nearing graduation. Excellent English communication skills and ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary environments are essential. The program offers a two-year project with potential relocation to or collaboration across international sites, access to state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for publication and conference participation.
