Now you have the opportunity to utilize your skills in a broader role involving emergency tasks! We are looking for nine emergency center dispatchers for permanent positions at the Espoo situation center. In this role, you will help build a completely new operation together with other experts in the well-being area. Your task is to ensure that our clients receive high-quality and prompt assistance around the clock. Your main responsibilities include receiving alerts from clients via the emergency center system, assessing clients' care needs, investigating the causes of alerts, and guiding clients remotely. When necessary, you will forward security assistance tasks to staff conducting home visits, coordinate services for clients, and monitor the progress of emergency tasks. Our clients are users of security assistance services across all municipalities in the well-being area. Most of our clients are elderly. Additionally, you will monitor the condition of safety devices installed at clients' homes, report disturbances and deviations according to agreed procedures. You will use various systems fluently, including customer and patient record systems and the emergency center system. You will also participate in developing the security assistance service and collaborate with partners such as home care and rescue authorities. Qualifications: Practical nurse qualification with basic skills in emergency care or nursing and care. A basic rescue certificate with an emergency care specialization is considered an advantage. Requirements: - Excellent oral and written communication skills in Finnish - Good oral skills in Swedish - Good teamwork skills: able to meet people calmly and empathetically, and quickly assess the client's situation and care needs - Independent decision-making ability based on shared procedures and guidelines - Knowledge of emergency and crisis center operations in the social and health sector, and relevant social and health legislation - Understanding of home living support services and client needs Additional language skills in Finnish and Swedish are valued. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract as required by law 741/2023, section 28, concerning work with elderly persons. The role requires vaccination protection according to the Infectious Diseases Act section 48 and tuberculosis screening as per section 55.
