We are seeking registered nurses for temporary positions in the anesthesia and surgical unit at Peijas Hospital from June 8, 2026, to December 31, 2029, and from June 8, 2026, to December 31, 2026. Your duties will include anesthesia and/or surgical nursing tasks as well as recovery room care. We also provide anesthesia services outside the surgical units. We also conduct extensive urology procedures, and our unit handles complex urological surgeries as well as emergency urological, orthopedic, and traumatology surgeries. We also install venous ports. In addition to robotic urology, we perform robot-assisted hernia surgeries. There are a total of 17 operating rooms across two floors and 37 recovery beds. The staff consists of approximately 120 healthcare professionals. The work is mainly day shifts with two shifts, and one team works until 10 PM. We also work with a single team on weekends and some weeknights. Some patients are discharged on the day of surgery, while others are planned to stay overnight in the ward. A new building for the surgical unit is under construction, and we will move to the new premises in 2028. What do we offer you? Previous experience in a surgical unit or similar tasks, as well as skills in perioperative care or internship experience in a surgical unit, are required. We expect you to prioritize patient safety in your work. The role requires precision, a responsible attitude, and excellent communication and collaboration skills, which should be reflected in your communication style and friendly interactions within a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications for the role Licensed nurse. Proficiency in Finnish (good oral and satisfactory written skills) and Swedish (satisfactory oral skills or good oral and satisfactory written skills) are required. We require proof of vaccination against infectious diseases for those working in customer and patient areas, and a health status report regarding tuberculosis for healthcare workers. Salary Salary is based on the SOTE agreement. The task-specific salary is €3,146.75/month. Additional experience and other allowances may be paid.
