Hello, sports professional! Do you want to be involved in developing and enabling low-threshold sports activities for residents of Helsinki? If yes, apply for a permanent position as a sports instructor in the guided sports unit! The role begins on 10.8.2026. As a sports instructor, you will lead various group exercise classes such as water aerobics, different fitness classes, and gym training for seniors, working-age adults, and clients in adaptive sports. Classes are conducted to music. Additionally, you will supervise leisure swimming lessons for children or adults and swimming lessons for schoolchildren. Activities during holidays focus on children. Your tasks include sports counseling, customer service, and working at events. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in sports instruction (sports advisor) or a sports instructor university degree. The role also requires certification as a swimming instructor from SUH. Good Finnish language skills, experience in leading exercise groups for seniors, and experience in swimming instruction are also required. Advantageous skills include the ability to adapt group sports to clients with different functional capacities, understanding diverse starting points for sports participation, and always working customer-oriented. The role is located in the northern sports team, with facilities such as Pirkkola Swimming Hall, Oulunkylä Sports Park, and Latokartano Sports Hall.
