We are now hiring electrical installers for railway and high-voltage work. As an electrician, you will work on demanding railway projects across Finland, including large yard renovations, switch and bridge work sites, and separate railway electrical contracts. The work is mainly travel-based, with project durations ranging from weeks to several years. You will work as part of a skilled project team including installers, site foremen, site managers, and project managers. You report daily to the site manager, who also acts as your administrative supervisor. Working hours are mainly 4×10 hours (Mon–Thu) or 5×8 hours, but there may be deviations. Night shifts are common, especially in railway work, with NRC Group having negotiated better-than-TES allowances. Your main tasks include switching off voltage, grounding, installing pylons and portals, switchgear and cabling, grounding, switch heating, lighting, documenting measurements and quality requirements, and possibly operating railway machinery based on interest. Salary depends on experience. To succeed, you should have previous experience working on electrified railways or in high-voltage environments (e.g., substations or overhead line installations). You are not applying for your first electrical job but can transition smoothly into a project site. We expect you to have electrical training (e.g., energy, automation, or electrical installer) or strong practical experience in infrastructure and high-voltage environments (possibly through apprenticeship training). Interest in railway and high-voltage work is a plus, but previous specific experience is not mandatory. You must be ready for outdoor work, crane operations, mechanical installations, night shifts, and travel across Finland. Fluency in Finnish is required. Important qualities include independence, responsibility, safety awareness, teamwork ability, flexibility, and adaptability. A pre-employment medical check is required, including a railway doctor’s examination and possibly psychological testing. A basic security clearance may be conducted with your consent.
