Starting from fall 2026, we have several career opportunities for you in Päijät-Häme—flexibly according to your preferences. Work locations include Lahdessa, Heinola, Hollola, Orimattila, Asikkala, Padasjoki, and other municipalities in the area. Some of the available roles also offer hybrid or remote work options. What kind of job opportunities can you expect? Work periods are diverse, ranging from busy and short-term assignments to longer-term substitutes. You will have good senior support and consultation opportunities, including from specialty areas. You can choose from several options that suit you best: Office hours health center doctor consultations at health centers: Varied primary healthcare work with patients of all ages. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists, pharmacists, and gerontologists. You will also have the opportunity to supplement your workweek with maternity, school, and student health clinic visits. Remote consultations and chat: Telehealth and consultation services suitable for remote work for health center doctors. Inpatient wards (Lahden, Heinola, Orimattila): Work with multi-illness elderly patients, including acute general medicine, wound and infection care, dementia assessment, and palliative care. You will collaborate closely with home care, informal care, and assisted living units based on patient needs. Home care (primarily remote): Home care doctor work focuses on remote contacts and virtual rounds but also includes urgent issues and initial visits, where care plans are made and medication is assessed. The work requires strong general practitioner skills and familiarity with multi-morbid elderly patients, in close cooperation with home care, home hospital, and specialists. Geriatric outpatient clinic: Focus on dementia and cognitive impairment assessments. Patients are generally aged 68 and over, with 90-minute appointments scheduled per patient. Rehabilitation (hybrid): Rehabilitation work focuses on patients in physiatry, neurology, and orthopedics. The roles particularly require general medicine, geriatrics, or neurology specialist-level expertise. The patient record system used in Päijät-Häme is Lifecare.
