The University of Turku is a world-class multidisciplinary research university offering challenging tasks and a unique perspective on Finnish and international science and education. The Facilities Services unit within the University’s Financial and Facilities Services is seeking a Facilities Manager for a permanent position starting from August 17, 2026, or according to agreement. Facilities Services provides reception, relocation, mail, and transportation services for the university. We maintain internal and external room reservation services. We are also responsible for various maintenance functions such as vehicle rentals, cleaning, waste management, parking, signage, and outdoor areas. The Facilities Services employ 23 people. Job Description The Facilities Manager’s responsibilities include transportation for university leadership. The Facilities Manager is responsible for daily transportation for the rector according to a pre-planned schedule to various stakeholder meetings. Transportation outside the Turku economic area is also arranged, requiring flexible working hours. The Facilities Manager also handles transportation for vice-rectors and distinguished guests of the university as agreed. The role includes tasks such as pickups and deliveries, diverse customer service tasks related to facilities, guidance and advice, and security duties. The Facilities Manager also participates in organizing and supervising university events. An orientation period will be provided to the selected candidate. The level of the position is 5, with a task-specific salary component of 2270.88 euros/month. An additional performance-based salary component is also paid. Based on previous experience and skills, the starting salary is approximately 2500–2700 euros/month. A six (6) month probationary period applies.
