The Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services Region is seeking an analytical, innovative, and collaborative development planner for the Preparedness and Development unit. The rescue department of the Ostrobothnia Wellbeing Services Region offers a positive and forward-looking work community. We actively participate in national rescue sector cooperation. As a development planner, you will influence the future planning and operations of the rescue department together with others. The rescue department employs approximately 1,000 personnel, including full-time, part-time, and volunteer staff. The department has two 24/7 readiness stations. The area covers the entire Ostrobothnia region from Kristiinankaupunki to Luvia. The role of the development planner is to develop the rescue department's operations and services to meet environmental requirements. Key tasks include acting as an expert in development, implementing strategic development goals, monitoring national guidelines and trends, analyzing the operational environment, self-monitoring, reporting, and proposing service development for the coming years. The development planner works under the fire chief. To perform effectively, the role requires understanding rescue services, environmental analysis, risk assessments, data management, geospatial skills, and IT proficiency with relevant software, as well as oral and written presentation skills and good communication and interaction skills. The position requires independence and teamwork skills. We value a rescue sector qualification and experience in development, analysis, and geospatial data management. The salary for the development planner (3,874 €) and working hours are determined according to the collective agreement for social services and health care personnel, with pension benefits in accordance with public sector pension laws. A six-month probation period may be applied. The selected candidate must provide a health statement before employment is confirmed. Additionally, a basic security clearance will be conducted in accordance with the Security Clearance Act (726/2014), and a clean background check is a prerequisite for employment. Placement is within the rescue department's area, with initial placement in Vasa. The job requires a B-class driving license.
