Are you eager to take responsibility for rail electrification solutions in Finland's most significant projects? We are looking for a skilled electrical and mechanical rail designer to strengthen our team in rail electrification projects. The role emphasizes mechanical design and sizing, with responsibilities tailored to your expertise. If you have a background in rail electrification, you can directly join demanding projects and develop solutions. If you come from another field, we will train you in the specifics of rail electrification. You will work with rail, geotechnical, and tramway specialists and collaborate across technical disciplines and offices. Our unit has an open and flat culture where everyone is listened to and support is always available. We are a close-knit team sharing expertise daily and advancing together with experienced colleagues. Your tasks include working on electrified rail projects, performing expert and design tasks, and mechanical force calculations. Your responsibilities will be refined based on your experience and may focus on design, expert work, or sizing. You will be part of a dedicated team working closely with project key persons, stakeholders, and other units. You will design complete rail systems for construction, lead design solution definitions, and develop and plan rail systems in collaboration with the project team. You will have real influence and responsibility, developing rail systems and advancing projects. You will join a community of about 150 rail experts in Finland, involved in major projects like Vantaa Tram and Helsinki Infrastructure Program. We expect a suitable technical degree (DI, AMK engineer or similar), several years of experience in design or expert roles, proficiency in Finnish, and willingness to work as part of a close team. AutoCAD skills are a plus. We offer work in Finland's leading rail unit, with responsibility and trust based on your skills, in a flat, practical work culture.
