We are seeking a practical nurse for a fixed-term position at Elsakoti in Tervakoski. We hope you can start as soon as possible. The fixed-term employment lasts until August 30, 2026. Elsakoti offers round-the-clock long-term care for 30 residents. The building is divided into Elsakoti and Hilda. Elsakoti has 10 residents, and Hilda has 20 residents. Staff work on both sides of the building. You will receive support from a nurse team coordinator and nurse, care assistants, and your immediate supervisor. The work is organized in three shifts. You can influence your work shifts in the planning. As a practical nurse, your duties include caring for residents’ daily needs, hygiene, and medication administration. You will act as a liaison and contact person for residents’ relatives, guardians, doctors, and other stakeholders. Elsakoti respects residents’ autonomy and treats each individual with respect. The qualification requirement is a basic degree in social and health care or an equivalent qualification. Previous experience working with the elderly is an advantage, but genuine interest in elderly well-being and rehabilitative work is most important. Registration with the Social and Health Care Professionals Register is required before starting employment. Participation in medication administration requires a valid medication competence certificate, which can be updated or obtained at the start of employment. Interviews will be arranged during the application period, and the position will be filled as soon as a suitable candidate is found. The salary for this position is €2,647.17/month. In addition, experience-based pay of 3%-8% may be paid. The length of service also affects the accrual of holiday days. The working hours are 38.25 hours per week. Salary and other employment conditions are determined according to the SOTE agreement. A trial period applies. In direct patient and customer work, vaccination against infectious diseases as required by the Communicable Diseases Act section 48 and tuberculosis screening as per section 55 are mandatory.
