We are seeking a special education teacher for early childhood education at Koivukylä Daycare Center for a permanent position starting 3.8.2026. As a special education teacher working in a small group, your work will focus especially on intensified and special support, emphasizing full-time or regular co-teaching. You will be responsible for assessing children's support needs, planning and implementing support, and evaluating the support measures in collaboration with your team’s early childhood education teacher, child caregiver, and other staff. Developing an inclusive operational culture in early childhood education involves the daycare managers and a broad-based special education teacher. Your work will emphasize pedagogical expertise and close cooperation with various stakeholders. All our daycares in Vantaa utilize the ProVaka operational model. ProVaka promotes inclusive, shared early childhood education through common goals, practices, and positive feedback. Our unit’s core values include courage, openness, and community, which are reflected in sharing strengths and challenges, exploring new solutions, and finding appropriate practices for each operational period. We aim to see each child as a unique individual with strengths and positive qualities. It is most important for us to meet children and families genuinely and unhurriedly, considering each child's needs individually and sensitively. We are looking for a professional with broad understanding of children’s diverse support needs and the ability to plan pedagogical group-level activities to ensure effective support implementation. Koivukylä Daycare Center is led by a co-leadership model, where one director is responsible for staffing and finances, and the other for pedagogy and client relations.
