We are looking for a shift supervisor / assistant restaurant manager at Ravintola Poro to lead by example, create an atmosphere, and keep everything under control. Do you have the ability to see the big picture, lead a team amidst busy times, and ensure each guest has a first-class experience? Do you enjoy ensuring the dining area operates smoothly, staff know their roles, and service runs seamlessly even when every table is full? You might be the person we are looking for. We are seeking someone to join our professional and energetic restaurant team. In this role, you will be the heart of your shift, holding the reins, supporting the team, resolving situations quickly, and ensuring the service experience exceeds expectations. Your duties include daily guidance and organization of the floor staff, overseeing the restaurant's flow, rhythm, and customer experience, customer service and handling challenging situations professionally, managing reservations, customer flow, and resources, onboarding new employees, motivating the team, collaborating with the kitchen, management, and other staff, supporting sales, and continuously developing service quality. We hope you have previous experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory or responsible role, natural leadership skills, the ability to make quick decisions, excellent customer service and communication skills, resilience under pressure, a solution-oriented approach, previous experience with Restolution POS system, hygiene and alcohol service license, and fluent Finnish and English language skills.
