Jobbeskrivning

**Join us in creating your life story. We are currently seeking social and health care professionals and final-year students for substitute work as guides at our child protection units in Pitkäjärvi and Rauhaniemi Validia homes.** We are looking for temporary workers who want to do their job well and develop their skills at the same time. It is especially important to us that adults working with children are familiar and safe, and we hope that temporary workers are also willing to commit to us for a longer period. We offer structured orientation, a supportive work community, and the opportunity to work in a role where every interaction matters. You will not be alone; you will have friendly and skilled colleagues to support your success. Pitkäjärvi Validia Home is a 6-place unit providing special care, aimed at 12–17-year-olds who have received a decision for special care. The unit offers modern, high-quality special care (EHO) services that meet current standards for children in the most challenging situations in child protection, helping them to stop harmful behaviors. Rauhaniemi Validia Home is a 7-place modern, well-resourced residential home for 12–17-year-olds requiring comprehensive support and multidisciplinary resources. The focus of Rauhaniemi is to provide long-term, demanding foster care where EHO services are available for our children. In your work, you will be responsible for daily guidance, upbringing, and care of children, being present in everyday life and supporting them. The work is planned and goal-oriented, based on each child's individual care plan. Individualized interaction and a relationship-based approach are central to our daily routine. The home's daily life is structured, predictable, and adult-led. We tailor activities based on each child's abilities and well-being. Daily activities include basic routines, hobbies, events, outdoor activities, and shared projects, as well as practicing difficult situations and problem-solving together. The work is a shared journey of growth and learning for both children and the team. We especially value understanding of neurodiversity, attachment, and trauma, as well as a desire to develop professional skills within the community. The work is done in three shifts and includes household tasks that are part of everyday life.
