VS-Welding Oy is looking for a practical-minded production supervisor to lead the daily operations of the machine shop. We work on diverse projects in steel construction and industry, including machine shop manufacturing, installations, maintenance, repairs, and modifications. In this role, you will ensure that manufacturing work progresses as planned, work queues are managed, and workers have the resources to complete tasks on schedule. This is not an office job nor project management on paper; work takes place in the production environment alongside the workers. Your goal is to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the machine shop production with 10-15 workers. The supervisor works closely with the project manager, who is responsible for sales, clients, and overall project management. As a supervisor, you will be responsible especially for: Daily management of machine shop production, Prioritizing tasks, Planning work sequences, Ensuring materials, drawings, and work conditions, Removing production bottlenecks, Directing workers on the shop floor, Monitoring production schedules, Planning work in advance. What we expect from you: Experience in machine shop manufacturing, production, and supervision, Practical understanding of steel structure fabrication, Ability to make decisions and drive tasks forward, Firm but fair leadership style, Willingness to lead work on-site in the production environment, Proficiency in Finnish and English.
